Boudhanath Stupa Tour (Nepal Package Tour Booking )

Boudhanath Stupa (Bouddhanath) is the center of Tibetan culture in Nepal. The 36-meter-high stupa of Bouddhanath is one of the largest stupas in South Asia. Bouddhanath Stupa was renovated by Licchavi rulers in the eighth century. The mandala design in Bouddhanath is a copy of the one in Gyangtse in Tibet.

Boudhanath Stupa
The stupa is located in the area of ancient trade route to Tibet where Tibetan merchants rested and offered prayers for many centuries. When refugees entered Nepal from Tibet in the 1950s, many decided to live around Bouddhanath. Hence, a complete township has developed around Bouddhanath.
The stupa is said to entomb the remains of a Kasyap sage venerable both to Buddhists and Hindus. Smaller stupas are located at the base. Gompa monasteries, curio shops, and restaurants surround Bouddhanath.
Because of its location and size, it seems much larger than the Swayambunath Stupa, with the same hemi-spherical dome symbolizing the emptiness from which everything emanates. On top is the harmika painted on each side with the eyes of the Buddha symbolizing awareness, and above the spire with its 13 stages to the canopy. At ground level there is a brick wall with 147 niches and 108 images of the meditational buddha inset behind copper prayer wheels. Early morning and evening are the times to visit Bouddha to join the local residents in kora (walking the pilgrim's circuit, sometimes with Tibetan pilgrims on their hands and knees).

DASHAIN FESTIVAL PACKAGE TOUR

Overview
The Nepalese people indulge in the biggest festival of the year, Dashain. Dashain is the longest and the most auspicious festival in the Nepalese annual calendar, celebrated by Nepalese of all caste and creed throughout the country. The fifteen days of celebration occurs during the bright lunar fortnight ending on the day of the full moon. Thorough out the kingdom of Nepal the goddess Durga in all her manifestations are worshiped with innumerable pujas, abundant offerings and thousands of animal sacrifices for the ritual holy bathing, thus drenching the goddess for days in blood.

Dashain commemorates a great victory of the gods over the wicked demons. One of the victory stories told is the Ramayan, where the lord Ram after a big struggle slaughtered Ravana, the fiendish king of demons. It is said that lord Ram was successful in the battle only when goddess Durga was evoked. The main celebration glorifies the triumph of good over evil and is symbolized by goddess Durga slaying the terrible demon Mahisasur, who terrorised the earth in the guise of a brutal water buffalo. The first nine days signify the nine days of ferrous battle between goddess Durga and the demon Mahisasur. The tenth day is the day when Mahisasur was slain and the last five days symbolise the celebration of the victory with the blessing of the goddess. Dashain is celebrated with great rejoice, and goddess Durga is worshiped throughout the kingdom as the divine mother goddess.

Newars call this day ‘Sakyo Tyako’ believing that ‘the more you kill, the more you gain.’ Especially on this ninth day, but also throughout the year at certain times, Newars have the head of their sacrificed goat cut into eight specific parts- two eyes, two ears, one Nose, one tongue and to jaws- which are bound and tied back into place with a reed. This re-assembled head is cooked and carried to the home of the eldest male relative- usually the father. Eight men, seated on the Floor in a row according to seniority, are offered the head. Each eats that portion which tradition allots to his rank – another of the countless ancient customs the Newars religiously follow to maintain the vital bonds of ancestral family organization. Day 10 :

14-Oct-2013 Kathmandu-Departure: Today’ is the day of peak celebration, and the official conclusion of Dashain is reached on Vijaya Dashami, the great tenth day of victory from which dashain takes its name. This is the dasy on which Lord Raman slew the demon Ravenna, and Durga appeared in a great fury, riding on a lion to vanquish mahisaura in response to fervent prayers from gods and men. Their triumphant victories sent waves of jubilation through heaven and earth marking the triumph of the power of righteousness over all that is evil. Holy baths are taken and there is a last minute rush to the temples of Durga with offering the gifts for the gods. It is obligatory for Hindus on this day of victory to visit all elders relatives and superiors in strict order of seniority or rank, starting with parents. Unless one has a vital and valid excuse failure to appear is an offence of utmost gravity, signifying that all relationships are served. Some newars who throughout Dashain have been celebrating traditional feasts and ceremonies where the entire family clan is involved, may not observe this custom, paying instead an honorary visit to their employers or superiors. When the king of Nepal receives the official Tika blessing at the palace from the royal Brahmans priest as prasad or blessing from goddess Durga- a thirty-one-gun salute reverberates round the valley. Morning after breakfast at hotel, then transfer to International Airport for onward journey.

The serenity and grandeur of Nepal attracts nearly half a million visitors every year. This small ancient, land-locked country (147,181 Sq. Kms.) nestled between two giants, India and China, is home to more than 24 million people, 40 ethnic groups, 70 spoken languages, and many religions.

 Trekking In Nepal

From the north—Nepal's sky high border with Tibet—to the south, where the Terai's jungles buzz just above sea level, Nepal offers the visitor so many different environments to explore, even in a short time. We are the only country to have 7 (UNESCO) World Heritage Sites, many situated within a 20 kilometer radius! After you have experienced ancient Kathmandu, you can take a day trip around the Kathmandu Valley, spend a weekend in the jungle of Chitwan National Park (a World Heritage Site), or trek deep into the Himalayas. Trekking options include: Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Sanctuary, Rara Lake (in Western Nepal's "wild west"), or the seldom-visited Nymba Valley, to name just a few. And because of Nepal's diverse terrain and climate: from the world's deepest gorge (Kali-Gandaki) to the highest point on earth (Mt. Everest), one can explore this magnificent country all year round.

Island Peak Climbing ($2300) Book Now !

island Peak 6169m also known as Imja Tse is one of the popular trekking peak in Nepal for climbing on Himalayas. From Dingboche the mountain is seen as an island peak in a sea of ice. The summit is interesting and attractive with a highly glaciated west face rising from the Lhotse Glacier. The ridge rising to the south from this point leads to the summit of Island Peak. Imja Tse not only provides an enjoyable climb but also provides some of the most spectacular scenery of Himalayas in Khumbu region. Seen from the summit the giant mountains/ Everest , Nuptse (7,879m), Lhotse (8,516m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m) and Lhotse Shar (8,383m) make a semi circle in the north. The views of Makalu (8463m) in the east, Baruntse and Amadablam in the south add more charm in climbing Island Peak. For many mountaineers climbing Island Peak marks the beginning of climbing on Himalayas to prepare for a big Himalaya expedition in Nepal in later years. For some mountaineers the peak stands for the purpose of acclimatization before heading to bigger mountain climbing. Trekking to Kalapatthar or Everest base camp is best suited for acclimatization before proceeding Island Peak climbing.

The normal route for climbing Island Peak is South East Flank & South-West Ridge Normally, the Island Peak base camp is set at Pareshaya Gyab (5,087m), between Imja Tse and the lateral moraine of the Imja Glacier. Proper care should be taken to avoid the possible avalanche in the event of heavy snow fall. From the base camp, a well acclimatized party in good conditions can make the summit and return to the base camp in a day. However, most of the climbers prefer alpine style camping at high camp which adds the joy of climbing and helps a safe ascent.

Trekking In Nepal

Trekking in Nepal
Before 1951 Nepal was largely inaccessible to foreign tourists. Until 1964, Nepal was exclusively for the hardly climbers and explorers of the unimaginable mountains and landscape. With the downfall of old regime (the Rana regime) and opening of the borders to the outsiders, plus with the development and increase of tourism programs of Nepal's became accessible to the outside world. This was helped more by the air linkage to the outsiders. The scenic landscape, majestic mountains, rich biodiversity, varied photograph and climate, rich culture and heritage provides unmatched appeal to the tourist. This has led to the increase in trekking activities in Nepal.
